DW Anyone Else Have One of These?

I've had this Dan Wesson Stainless 715...since about 1982.
Came in with my DOB! It's a keeper and a great shooter.

Got it with a 4" vented ribbed and added a 2 1/2" later on.

Anyone else have a DW revolver?

Yup. I just bought one of the new ones. Got a deal on a blem model. Little pin hole on the back of the hammer, that's it. It's so accurate with my 38 wadcutters, it's scary. 357 feels like a peanut in that gun. Mine has a 6 inch vented rib barrel. I do plan on getting a few more barrels from cz down the line.

Yes, purchased during my boycot of DW's uncle's company. At the time seeking a pistol for shooting Hunter's Silhouette w/open sights. Other HS shooters told me if I insist on open sights, shoot a DW. The ease of replacing bbls was a real selling point in favor of DW; but I find I don't change the bbls, just -thought- that I would. Beautifully made; triggers pretty heavy in DA; tiggers smooth as silk; triggers reasonably crisp and light in SA; awesome bluing: on par with the best of Colts' or S&W's blued finishes.

Bought one when I turned 18. Had a 4 and 6 inch barrels. Sold it to a friend that became a security guard.

Do they all have barrels that can be swapped? I know very little of the brand, but that is a very enticing thought- pick up a .357 or a 44 magnum and you get (X) number of barrels times 2 different calibers (357/38spcl or 44mag/spcl) all for the price of one gun a barrel.

If that makes sense.

I have my dads old Bright Polish Blue DW 15-2 .357 mag with 8" "thin" barrel. I've killed a few western KY whitetails with it. Also took my ccw course with it using store bought 357 mag ammo, lol it's the only gun & ammo I had on hand lol. It shot perfect lil clusters lol. Very accurate and beautiful to boot. I still love that pistol & the memories made with it.
It started having timing issues and I still haven't fixed it.
I need to dig it out & have a look at it. Been in the back of a safe for a few years.

I've got the DW 744 with 6" and 2.5" barrels. At some point I'd like to grab a 715 to replace my GP100 - though the Ruger has been great for 3k rounds.

Have a DW 744 vented 6" light lug. Had a 15-2 that I sold not too long ago. Always keeping my eye out for a Monson 715. If I can't find one though I'll probably go with either a GP100 or 686
