Weird. I'll push it to the IT folk.

I get it rarely; seems to be a Safari thing.

Hey guys,

I could not replicate this issue on my iPad here. Does this pop up only appear within certain sections/pages of the site or it occurs randomly? I navigated to this page and others threads in this section but no success in getting that same pop up to appear.

I am using the site on Safari in full desktop mode. Is that the same version you guys are seeing the pop up? Can you ensure you have your browsers up to date, clear your cache/cookies and refresh the page to see if that makes any improvements? Let us know - thanks!

Cheers,
Natalie

Happens randomly. Really the only tab I click is 'new posts'. Doesn't pop up all the time but has done it a few times just in the last couple days. I'm using desktop mode on my phone as that's what I prefer.
There is an update available for the phone I've been putting off. But the other three forums I'm on which are also VS owned are not doing this.
I also clicked 'cancel' on it instead of 'details'. If you wish I'll do that and see where it leads?

I've been hitting "cancel" each time it pops up. I haven't noticed it today tho.

Never had it happen but the URL doesn't appear to be valid to me. After entering, I get a parend with 1 x 1 on the tab and before the URL I get an i in a circle. THe i comes up as a dangerous site and not to go there.

Can't do that on an iPhone.

The gap in security your browser is pointing out is common on most sites, but Google, firefox and Safari has decided to start highlighting it now. It's telling you that the site is vulnerable to a MIM attack (or Man in the Middle), where someone intercepts what you are typing on the site. Since everything you type here is view-able to all, this has never been a thing it made sense to protect against. As long as you aren't typing your password into a thread in plain text, or your bank info, this doesn't affect you.

All that said, we are going to be upgrade all our network over the coming months to HTTPS to make our pages secure.
